Endorsed Health Plans

Every two years HC21 initiates an endorsement process with regional and national health plans to identify plans that have the best value for our community, a combination of quality and cost. Health plans are evaluated in the areas of network, administration, disease and health management, medical error prevention/patient safety, pharmacy benefit management, cost/reimbursement structure and their willingness to meet performance standards developed by HC21.

Health plans are selected for endorsement by HC21 and voted on by HC21 purchaser members after a thorough review of Request for Information (RFI) responses, eValue8 scores and health plan discussions.
