2018 HEALTH & PRODUCTIVITY FORUM

Updated: Oct 4, 2018

Making a Difference

The HC21 21st Annual Health & Productivity Forum was held May 1st at the Crowne Plaza in Downtown Knoxville. Attendees were visited by six national thought leaders with innovative ideas and successful strategies to improve population health and decrease healthcare costs. This year's event highlighted HC21's new four-lever approach to building a value-based healthcare market: Contracting, Networks, Payment, and Benefit Design. Speakers knowledgeable in each lever were invited to inspire our attendees.

Speaker Suzanne Taranto, Milliman, shared innovative payment solutions with the potential to create change. Speaker, Ned Laubacher, Innovu, spoke about retirement readiness and the effects on healthcare costs. Speaker, Dr. Bruce Sherman, National Alliance, shared his passion for the consideration of socioeconomic status when developing benefit design. Speaker, Samantha Arsenault, Shatterproof, showcased the newly developed Principles of Care and how employers can help change how substance use is being treated. Speaker Phil Brown, Mohawk Industries, shared his organization's success with a narrow network system, and Keynote speaker Chris Miles, Leavitt Partners, covered the rising costs of healthcare, shifting demographics, and the many benefits and facets to good contracting.

Raising our voice for healthcare change.

We'd like to thank our speakers and guests for an amazing day of learning. Being among peers reignites enthusiasm, and reminds us we are not alone in our mission, our concerns, or our needs. If you're interested in learning more about Forum speaker presentations, please contact the HC21 Team.
