The first ever Summit on National Health Care Ratings brought together purchasers, providers, payers and consumer advocates to explore best practices for engaging consumers in using health care ratings effectively, as well as strategies for providers that use ratings for improvement.
HC21 President & CEO, Gaye Fortner was in attendance, as was State of TN's Kendra Gipson, Director of Services and Vendor Contracts. The State of Tennessee is a member of the HC21 Coalition, and we were honored to attend and help recognize Kendra as a 2017 Bruce Bradley Fellowship member.
Named in honor of The Leapfrog Group's first Board Chair, The Bruce Bradley Fellowship is a year-long education and training program for corporate-health professionals who want to take an active role in steering employees and their families to safer, higher-quality hospitals and health systems. Congratulations, Kendra! State of Tennessee families will certainly benefit from the strategies and knowledge you received during this year.
