Our HC21 Learning Network inaugural class of benefits professionals attended their third session on September 27th. The focus of this session was Payment. Guest speakers included Neil Goldfarb, President/CEO of the Greater Philadelphia Business Coalition on Health; Emma Hoo, Director of the Pacific Business Group on Health; Laurie Lee, Executive Director Benefits Administration for the State of Tennessee Department of Finance & Administration; and Learning Network enrollee, Amanda Weaver, Benefit Analyst with Bush Brothers & Company. Students learned about and discussed pay for performance, bundled payments, government value-based programs, and healthcare quality based performance standards.
The HC21 Learning Network was developed to further the education of the benefits staff of HC21 members, and to allow for a deeper understanding of the principles of value-based benefit design.
During 2018, Learning Network enrollees will attend four sessions that showcase our recently developed four lever approach to value-based benefit design. The levers work in tandem with one another to push changes into your organization and our regional market.
Enrollment for 2019 will begin this Fall.
