The National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions (NAHPC) held their annual conference for employers this year in Arlington, Virginia. The annual conference brings together thought leaders, policymakers, and key healthcare experts from across the country to share their insights and expertise on the emerging trends, innovations, and opportunities in the changing healthcare marketplace.
HC21 President/CEO, Gaye Fortner, spoke at the annual conference on the employer role in combating the opioid epidemic. Attendee Lynn Quincy, Director of Healthcare Value Hub at Altarum Institute tweeted "Powerful presentation from Gaye Fortner...filled with actionable advice for employers". Fortner also participated on a panel; Stepping Up on Opioids and Pain Management.
HC21 member, State of Tennessee, was represented at the meeting by Laurie Lee. Lee serves as the Executive Director of Benefits Administration for the Department of Finance and Administration for the State of TN. She also serves on the HC21 Board of Directors.
NAHPC, formerly the National Business Coalition on Health, is a non-profit organization of health care coalitions with about 50 purchaser-led coalition members representing more than 12,000 purchasers and 41 million Americans. HC21 is proud to be a member of NAHPC.
