HC21 Programs and Communications Manager, Tracey Wiggins, attended the 2018 Leapfrog Annual Meeting in Washington, DC on December 3-4. Each year key stakeholders and constituents meet to discuss current topics, issues, and trends in purchasing, benefits, and health care quality.
On day one, Leapfrog Regional Leaders held a small group session to review 2018 and plan for 2019. This is an opportunity for growth and development as the leaders learn from each other's rollout efforts.
On day two, Leapfrog's Annual Meeting was held, including national thought leaders who highlighted current safe surgery strategies. The night ended with 118 US hospitals being rewarded for their effective policies in promoting safety and transparency. Among them was TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville.
